Production Process – Mannheim Furnace Technology

Our potassium sulphate plant utilizes the Mannheim furnace process, a mature and widely adopted technology for high-quality potassium sulphate production.

Raw Materials:

Potassium Chloride (KCl)
Sulfuric Acid (H₂SO₄ ≥98%)

Chemical Reaction:

2KCl + H₂SO₄ → K₂SO₄ + 2HCl↑

Main Product: Potassium Sulphate (K₂SO₄)
By-Product: Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)

Raw Material Preparation

Potassium chloride and sulfuric acid are fed into the Mannheim furnace in precise proportions
Mannheim Furnace Reaction

High-temperature reaction in the Mannheim furnace produces potassium sulphate and hydrochloric acid gas
Continuous process ensures stable output and consistent product quality
Product Recovery

Potassium sulphate is recovered and purified
Hydrochloric acid gas is absorbed and converted to liquid HCl for recovery
